Iraq Study Group: Why no ideas on victory, stabilizatioin?

Your Views: Iraq Study Group Wisconsin State Journal FORUM C1 Sunday, December 17, 2006 Question: Is the Iraq Study Group Report a step toward a successful completion to the war in Iraq? Why no ideas on victory, stabilization? After three years of the media reporting only the "if it bleeds it leads" headlines about Iraq, the bland appeasement and surrender statements of the Iraq Study Group are no surprise. The most glaring omissions? Ideas on victory and stabilization of a brand new democracy in the Middle East. I would like to know what the military commanders in Iraq would do to win the peace, not the musings of retired politicians who never left the Green Zone in Iraq. -- William Richardson, Madison
